Local open tender for construction of new schools and provision of additional classrooms/rehabilitations in existing schools in Nugaal and Mudug Regions

CARE International is an International NGO working in Somalia and Somaliland.  CARE and its partners work with vulnerable communities to address the underlying causes of poverty and promote peace and development by strengthening civil society, responding to emergencies and advocating for policy change.

The Waxbarashadu Waa Iftiin III (Education Is Light III) project is a 3 year EU funded initiative being implemented by a consortium comprising of CARE international (lead agency) and Save the Children in close coordination, support and guidance of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoE&HE) of the Puntland State of Somalia. The overall objective is to improve the educational attainment and the employability of relevant target groups, contributing to poverty reduction within an increasingly peaceful, secure and democratic Somalia whilst the specific objective is consolidated and expanded, equitable and inclusive quality education, and vocational training opportunities for Somali children, youth and adults.

With this donor funding support; CARE International in Somalia, Garowe office is hereby inviting all interested eligible bidders with previous experience and capacity to undertake Construction and rehabilitation of Schools. CARE will provide details of the work in the tender technical specification documents. The tender specification document can be obtained from CARE Garowe office on 27th October 2019 to 10th November, 2019 from 9:00am to 3:30pm.

The completed tender documents in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked: ‘Tender for construction of Schools in Mudug and Nugaal regions under WWI3 should be deposited in the tender box at CARE Garowe office so as to reach not later than Sunday 10th November 2019 16:00. No tender documents will be accepted after the bid submission deadline.

The criteria parameters to be used for assessment will be as indicated at the tender specification document. CARE International reserves the right to accept or reject any application either in whole or in part without giving reasons for either rejection or acceptance.
