Overall Job Purpose
The ICT Specialist administers and organizes ICT systems and services in the project. S/he assists the project manager in designing and installing ICT infrastructure, in developing ICT solutions and in providing support to users of ICT devices.
Roles and Responsibilities of this Position
- Ensures all ICT infrastructure is functional
- Ensures ICT inventory is updated regularly and maintains adequate stock levels
- Drafts and updates technical documentation and SOP for IT infrastructure
- Ensures that ICT policies and procedures are implemented and followed; trains users (medical staff, managers, technicians, etc.) on this
- Briefs, advises and trains end-users on the technical use of ALMANACH, EWARN, DHIS2, Nutrition, Imprest; organizes a helpdesk for end users
- Analyzes requirements for further development of applications’ functionality, user interface, data visualization and interoperability with other relevant information systems
- Analyzes access requirements for various user profiles and manages access
- Sets requirements for mobile devices (tablets, smartphones, etc.)
- Ensures backup of data
Minimum Requirements:· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, electronics, computer science or similar field; qualifications in health data management is a strong asset · Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position working in health-related projects · Familiarity with Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS), their operation and handling · Good knowledge of Health Management Information System (HMIS), ideally including DHIS2 · Experience in documenting required bug fixes and application’s enhancements · Basic understanding of data protection and information security · Experience in customers IT support and troubleshooting · Experience in preparing and following Standard Operating Procedures · Fluent written and spoken command of English and Somali |

Language Requirement:
Demonstrate proficiency in Somali and English languages
